Once upon a time, an artist dreamed big.

She prayed even bigger.

It didn’t happen overnight, but one day, after trials, tribulations, and years of hard work, her dream came true.

Whimsical was born from the heart of Micheline Ryckman. She started this little company with some drawings, a couple stories, and a whole lotta love. Her prayer, from the start, was that Whimsical would never be for her alone, but that one day it would bless other artists, authors, and creators too.

Her prayers were answered.

Whimsical Publishing is now owned by Micheline Ryckman’s daughter, Hannah Greetree, but Micheline remains a strong part of the publishing process as Editor-in- Chief and Lead Designer. Which now makes Whimsical a family-owned and operated Canadian company that has been enriching lives since 2010 by publishing engaging, thoughtful, quality books, items, and artwork to enhance the lives of children, teens, and adults.
