Another eye, I know, but full scene paintings just wouldn’t be possible during inktober. So lots of detail/closeups are all I can manage. (Although you all know I love close ups!😁🙈) But even doing these daily is pushing me, my arm is definitely getting tired...😅 I may have to consider combining a few sets of prompts together. We’ll see...

Day 13: Enchanted Forest #whimsicalinktober2019 .
I had visions of grandeur for this prompt. A glorious forest glade filled with mystical creatures—but alas inktober has time restrictions. 😭 It would have taken me days to complete such a scene. So, here instead is my character Tae from #chartingstars - she’s the Queen of the Caa, a forest dwelling tree-like species. 🌳 .
It’s been a VERY long time since I’ve drawn this character, and I enjoyed modifying her design a bit. I’ll post a comparison pic of an older drawing of her in my story for fun. 🙌

Day 10: Steampunk #whimsicalinktober2019 .
It was a struggle to come up with an idea for this one. Steampunk can be intimidating as an artist because—whoa details! 😳 To curb my fears, I decided on this more minimal close-up. 🙈 .

Most of you know that I severely injured my arm last year and could not do art for six months. It was HORRIBLE because after the injury it became a frozen shoulder. 😖 And, sadly, it still has not fully healed... Docs say it can take up to three years to be completely normal again. 😭 Anyway, turns out the line art style that I started with for inktober is not easy on my still injured arm...The style requires more stiff exacting lines, and for some reason this type of drawing is causing me a lot of pain. Painting is easier because the movements are loose and fluid. .
So all that to say I’m reverting to my regular style for the remainder of inktober to protect my arm. I just really do not want a relapse... 😞

Why is my newest inktober a full colour painting you ask?

Well, let me explain. 😁
.
