We hope summer is treating you well, whether that means kids running about, a break from school, or summer vacations! Through it all, it’s always a relief to have a book in hand and a fictional world to dive off into. During this short newsletter, we’re running you through a few quick updates before our company-wide break sunning from June 19 – July 9th.

TRICKERS IN THE PALACE (AND OTHER TALES) IS OUT TODAY!

You heard right! After months of waiting in agony, you can finally return to the world of Instanolde and revisit some of our favorite characters from the original duology. It’s got illustrations and multiple short and sweet stories for your summer reading. Plus it’s gorgeous and feels right at home with the Queen of Shifting Sands and King of Starcast Skies.

 

Additionally, there will be a giveaway of a hardcover edition of Trickster TOMORROW on the 17th with a set of preorder incentives (full of AMAZING character art by a variety of authentically human artists including @suzelfruz.draws, @theogwhimsicalartist and @icandrawiswear! Keep an eye on the Whimsical IG for the giveaway post!

Not only that, but Trickster is going digital! You can preorder the e-book from Amazon, and the audiobook will be available on Audible (release date to be announced soon), read to you by Erik Homme!

The Deets On Our Two Hottest Upcoming Releases

While we still have to wait till fall (sobs) for this one, we also want to remind you that E.P. Stav’s The Crafting Con is also available for preorder. This book is unlike anything Whimsical has ever put out before. It’s our first contemporary romance and it takes a take on nerd culture that is so much fun for anyone who loves anything books, cosplay, and cons. (I mean, it is called the Crafting Con for a reason? *wink, wink*).

It’s going to come with super cute preorder incentives (and this GORGEOUS exclusive edition we’re all drooling over) anddd two surprise bonus gifts! You won’t know unless you order before release! 

The Crafting Con is currently live on both NetGalley and also directly from Whimsical Publishing for a chance to get an ARC (and Advanced Reader Copy!).

As for the sequel to our inaugural novel, Charting Stars, by our one-and-only founder, Micheline Ryckman, Shooting Stars will be getting it’s cover revealed and preorder campaign launched on JULY 21st! You heard it here first folks! It’s Christmas… in July! When we are back from our summer break, we’re going to have a Christmas in July sale! From July 10th – 16th you can get 30% off all items in the Whimsical shop (excluding preorders)! Just use the code XMASINJULY!

As a reminder, Whimsical will be on our summer break from June 19th to July 9th. Our hardworking team needs some of their own time to enjoy the sun and catching up on their TBR, but we’re excited to get back in action as of July 10th, all rejuvenated!

(During the time we are on break, the shop will continue to operate as normal, so no worries there)!
