🌌The Starriest Night!🌌
Are you as excited about this release just as much as we are?! This beautiful story is inspired by a famous artist in the late 1800’s France with a swoony romance and fairies! Any guesses so far as to who this famous artist could be?👀
For those who don’t know, McKenzie Catron-Pichan is actually one of our first authors here at Whimsical! After Micheline started this company and released The Maiden Ship trilogy, McKenzie was the very first author to sign with us with her debut book A Daughter of the Trolls! Which quickly turned into the Numina Parables trilogy.📚
Which is why it’s so special to be adding a new book of McKenzie’s to our Whimsical library!📖 However, it will be just a little bit longer until we add this beautiful book to our shelves. We are pushing back The Starriest Night’s cover reveal and pre-order campaign to November 10th instead of this month. But don’t worry! You will still be getting updates and art reveals in the meantime. 😉 In fact, we are going to leave you with some art that our founder created for this story!
Gorgeous right!? 😍💘 Are you in love with this world already too? We can’t wait to show you guys this cover next month, it’s totally worth the wait! 🤭
👻Spooky Sales!👻
What’s better than reading spooky books around Halloween? Reading spooky books around Halloween that you got on SALE! 🗣️ That’s right, from October 30th to November 1st you can get the Numina Parables trilogy by McKenzie Catron 25% OFF! 🎉 These books are perfect for the season! Especially A Child of the Changeling, its definitely got Halloween vibes. 🎃
This is also the perfect opportunity for those of you who haven’t read McKenzie’s books yet to experience her beautiful storytelling and immersive world-building.💕
Need a sneak peek into the Numina Parables? We’ve got you!
Are you afraid of the bogeyman? Eighteen-year-old Sparrow can’t remember a time when she wasn’t. And neither can her mother—or the trolls, imps, gnomes, and faeries who all live in the Glade and call it home. Though Sparrow’s weak heart keeps her wheelchair bound, she and her mother have dedicated their lives to protecting the Glade, especially from the worst bogeyman of them all: the skin-stealing, poison-ingesting witch called Black Annis.
But one night, Sparrow makes a terrible mistake, and everything she once held dear is taken from her. The Glade is no longer a sanctuary, and the only way Sparrow can save her mother and her friends is to journey out into a monster-ridden world that wasn’t made for her or her wheelchair. Joined by her half-goblin friend, Rush, Sparrow will have to confront her fears before the ones they love are lost forever.
A Daughter of the Trolls will appeal to fans of European folklore and the darker Grimm Brothers’ fairytales. This is a spine-tingling young adult fantasy adventure about evil witches, monsters, and the imperfect heroes who face them all. You’ll join Sparrow and her faerie friends on a life-changing journey where they face not only their outer demons, but their inner ones as well.
And if that’s not enough to convince you then let us show you some amazing artwork for A Daughter of the Trolls done by our founder Micheline!🤩
Dreamy AND spooky right!?✨
Trust us, you don’t want to miss out on reading this EIGHT-TIME award-winning series!
Who doesn’t love to read about trolls, wicked witches, and goblins?🧌 And of course you can’t forget the childhood friends to lovers! Did we also mention that this has disability and mental health rep with inspiration by European folklore? This is seriously a MUST read!👏
